Welcome Centre of the Campus Göttingen and the Region of Southern Lower Saxony
The Welcome Centre of the Campus Göttingen and the Region of Southern Lower Saxony has been set up to reinforce and promote the welcoming culture in the region. The services provided aim to support the recruitment of highly qualified professionals, managers, and researchers and to promote the overall development of Southern Lower Saxony as an attractive location for professionals and their families to live and work in.
The Welcome Centre is currently developing a service portfolio for institutions and businesses in the region. It is designed to meet the needs of professionals in all practicable matters related to their questions upon arrival and when staying in Southern Lower Saxony. Central and decentralized service units are to be set up with representatives of the project’s network of partners in the region, a cooperation between research institutions, businesses, cities and municipalities. Partners include the University of Göttingen (Project Management), the SüdniedersachsenStiftung, the districts of Northeim and Göttingen, and the cities Bad Gandersheim, Bad Lauterberg, Duderstadt, Einbeck, Göttingen, Hann. Münden, Herzberg am Harz, Northeim, Osterode am Harz und Uslar, as well as many other sponsors and supporters from business and research institutions.
The project is funded by the University of Göttingen and the European Social Fund and supported by funding of the participating regional municipalities (Göttingen, Einbeck, Northeim, Duderstadt, Bad Gandersheim, Uslar, Bad Lauterberg, Osterode, Hann. Münden, Herzberg).
